The yellow top battery is a starter battery and a deep cycle battery all in one. Very unique in design. We prefer the yellow top for many reasons . First it works and cranks like a starter battery but where a starter battery will start to fall and loose voltage, the yellow top just keeps going and going. It truly is a far superior battery. With all of our battery testing that we have done independently this particular battery has never died. Even the test fit battery that has been beat up,  dropped, endured other misfortunes and it still holds a charge. This battery is very expensive, but money well spent if you ask me.
